I couldn't agree more with both these commenters.... the horror of watching these beautiful homes being destroyed with garish colors and the ruining of original features that simply need a bit of restoration is so painful I wasn't able to watch the shows all the way through.

After the first debacle I started watching the beginning to see the house they were redoing and the end to see how it ended up. By the end of the fourth show I decided that was enough agony so I won't watch it again.

The sight of a potentially wonderful Craftsman being slathered with bright orange and black paint all over the exterior (and interior) was too much to bear. The house sold (which clearly was all they cared about) to people who obviously know nothing about Craftsman homes, which were all about simple lines and nature and the colors found in nature. They're warm, beautiful and will never go out of style.

The house they ruined was a giant slap in the face once they were done.

Jessie and Tina apparently know zilch about the periods they're dealing with and aren't interested in researching them. Once the Craftsman was finished and we're taken on a tour of the results, there's a shot of the main living area that for a couple of seconds I thought was a day-care center for small children.

If we want to watch a high-end, awesome program about refurbishing vintage homes we need to stick with Nicole on Addiction to Rehab - she's a genius; she knows the periods the homes are from, works hard to achieve an amazing result, and she's fun.
